Per la parrocchiale di Borgoforte, oltre ai due grandi dipinti che tuttora vi si ammirano, Bazzani realizzò le quindici tele raffiguranti i Misteri del Rosario, scomparse dalla chiesa negli anni dopo il 1930 e attualmente distribuite in collezioni pubbliche (due sono agli Uffizi) e private. I due depositati nel Museo diocesano presentano altrettanti episodi dei vangeli.
Maria, subito dopo aver ricevuto l’annuncio che Dio l’ha scelta come Madre del suo Figlio, si reca a visitare la parente Elisabetta, imminente madre di Giovanni Battista. E’ il “mistero gaudioso” in cui è compreso il cantico noto come Magnificat.

For the parish church of Borgoforte, in addition to the two large paintings that can still be admired there today, Bazzani produced the fifteen canvases depicting the Mysteries of the Rosary, which disappeared from the church in the years after 1930 and are now distributed in public (two are in the Uffizi) and private collections. The two deposited in the Diocesan Museum present as many episodes from the Gospels.

Mary, immediately after receiving the announcement that God has chosen her to be the Mother of his Son, goes to visit her relative Elizabeth, the soon-to-be mother of John the Baptist. This is the ‘joyful mystery’ in which the canticle known as the Magnificat is included.
