L’alta qualità del materiale e della doratura, la lucentezza ed il candore della pasta, uniti alla raffinatezza della decorazione, costituita da una coroncina di piccoli fiori azzurri uniti da un nastro svolazzante (firmata B a rovescio), riunisce le caratteristiche della fabbrica fiorentina Ginori fino a fine Ottocento, in questa elegantissima tazza destinata al facoltoso antiquario e pittore Domenico Pesenti (1843-1918), zio del noto artista Vindizio Nodari Pesenti(1879-1961).

Le sue iniziali intrecciate e dorate sono visibili nella tazza e sul piattino, dove è ritratta per scherzo un’ape che potrebbe essere scambiata per vera.
